Stamp-peding My Way Through Life

ODBD December Release and Blog Hop

It's hard to believe December is already here! Where did this year go? Where ever it went it went    F-A-S-T! Today we start a new release and blog hop from ODBD , more information below on the blog hop. I know you will love the images and dies in this newest release!

My first card uses the Living Water stamp set and the Double Stitched Rectangles die set, both are in the December release!

I created a 6" x 6" top fold card base from ivory card stock. I then cut a piece of card stock at 5 3/4" x 5 3/4"; I adhered a panel from the Winter Collection paper pack and a strip of corrugated card stock onto the panel. The panel was wrapped with copper and natural twine and added to my card base with foam tape. I made my flower embellishment using dies from the Pretty Posie and Fancy Foliage die sets. The large flower and one vine were cut from copper card stock. The leaves, small flower and lower vine were cut from natural card stock. The vines, leaves and flower were added to my card with liquid glue. The sentiment, from the Living Water stamp set, was stamped with black ink and cut out with a die from the Mini Tags die set.

The image, Living Water, was stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with copper embossing powder. I then cut out the image using the Double Stitched Rectangles die and added it to my card base using foam tape. The vines, leaves and flower were added to my card with liquid glue.  The image below shows the copper embossing much better.

My next card uses the Plough the Fields stamp set and the Vintage Flourish Pattern die set.  I just purchased some watercolors and decided to try them out on this image; I need more practice but it was fun. It really helps when you start with a great image! My kraft card base is a top fold  4 3/8" x 5 3/4". I cut a burnt orange piece of card stock to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and added it to my card base. From kraft card stock I cut the background using the Vintage Flourish Pattern die and added to my orange layer. NOTE: Use Elmer's Spray Adhesive for intricate die cuts, saves a lot of time and aggravation...just saying!

I stamped my image using VersaFine ink onto watercolor paper. The image was cut to with the coordinating die from the Vintage Flourish Pattern die set; the edges were sponged using Distress Brushed Corduroy and added to my card. The sentiment is from Plough the Fields stamp set and is cut out using a die from the Mini Tags die set. To finish my card I added the sentiment along with a paper twine bow and added nail heads to my image.

TIP: I use A6 envelopes to accommodate slightly oversize cards or a bow or embellishment that goes over the edge of my card. An A6 is still first class postage!

Here is the information for the blog hop! Good luck!!!
